| Towne Farms is a family run farm, existing on this property for 36 years. Through the years the family has come, grown, gone, returned, and continues to evolve. At the same time we have raised hogs, dogs, cats, horses, cows, sheep, etc. in varying quantities, to the present, which is dominantly Registered Quarter Horses, some cattle and hay . Currently three generations are involved with the horses. The principle operator, Pete Towne, is pictured , showing off his first show horse in 1946. From these wild beginnings, in Redwood City, California, we currently run 18-25 broodmares, raise and train our foals for sale, show the results at various events, and use the facility to give riding lessons to kids and adults, open and 4-H (35 years as a 4-H leader).
